Paraddox Photo

On Sunday afternoon, when I had just woken up (I was out shooting a wedding all night) I get a phone call from a co-worker of mine. She asked me if I can let her sister and her husband use my studio to shoot a couple of photos (a re-do of their wedding photos) because they were dressed up in their wedding clothes, with hair and make-up done by Sergiu but outside was pouring and they had no place to go shoot.

I was planning to go shoot anyway so I told them to meet me there. They are very nice folks, Anca and Eugen , and even though she was a little stressed about the situation at first she turned out to be a very good model.

This is a first image in the series, as soon as I have time to process them I’ll post more.

I got so much work to do but I not in any mood to do it. So as I usually do in times like these I start cleaning up my older photos. While doing that I ran across a few images that I had almost completely processed a few months ago but I put them in another folder than I usually do and I totally forgot about them. The image in the previous post was one of them and this here is another.

Last night while browsing some photos on my harddisk I found an image of Ale that I took this year in march but that I never got around to process and post.

I’m back from my vacation from Vama Veche and I have a lot of images from there to share but first things first.

In the morning of the day I left Timisoara to go on vacation I also shot the civil wedding of Laurentiu and Anca but I didn’t have the time to process the images until yesterday.

The whole thing(ceremony+pictures afterwards) lasted about 80minutes and even though I shot a picture every 20 seconds that still doesn’t give me a lot of images to show but I managed to put together a few.

Some people asked me why am I writing stuff around here in English instead of Romanian.

Why indeed?

That is because I think English is a language that people from many parts of the world can understand, including the people from Romania, so I think it is the proper way to go. I for one feel frustrated if I go to a website and all the writing there is in Russian for example, because I know 2 words in Russian at max, so I want to avoid other people getting frustrated about my blog.

If I’d want to earn some money blogging maybe I’d be writing things in Romanian so search engines could properly index my website in the .ro sphere and so on, but for me this blog is just a tool for showing my photographs to my friends and other people that enjoy my work.

I still have to go to work for a couple of days and then it’s holiday time.

First I’m going to drop my cats at my mother’s place in Oradea and I’ll stay there until Tuesday evening.

Then I’ll go to the seaside at Vama Veche for about 8 days. I can barely wait to get there because this past year has been full of stress and I’m so tired I can barely focus on anything anymore and I just want to lay back and do nothing except photography.

Last year I didn’t take my camera with me and I regretted it because there are a lot of interesting people to shoot over there. Unfortunately I don’t own a laptop so I’ll only be able to post images when I return to Timisoara and that is around the 21st of August.

And talking about my work here are another couple of shots with the lovely Isa.

Last night I finally finished sorting and processing the photos from the weddings I photographed and I had time to process a couple of my own images.

I hope you like them.

Unfortunately I didn’t get to go on a shoot alone with just the two them, so we had to make do with half an hour here and there to shoot a few images.

And my friend the sun had to go all crazy on me and go hiding under clouds at the exact moment I pulled out my silver reflector. But we caught a few lucky breaks now and then.
